Finally, ready to go. This photo gives a good idea of the scale of the sled-hut. I was able to lay completely stretched out inside the sled hut. Notice that the floor does not touch the snow -- this is a major advantage, keeping the inside far warmer than a tent, which is pitched on snow. I carry essentials for a "last-ditch scenario" in a rucksack, in the event of somehow losing the sled-hut (a terrible thought!), for example, down a crevasse.
