Time to go. I am wearing a hemispherical shipīs compass, the size of an orange, on a harness around my neck, so that I can stay on course and navigate in zero visibility, without landmarks. Although I made an error and drifted a bit North, the system is excellent. A wand with a flag on the end is on my pack and serves as a wind indicator. In the shell suit and with hearing muffled by several hat layers, itīs sometimes hard to judge wind directin, so I like to be able to check it visually by just looking back at the flag.
